ISTANBUL CLASSICS (Half Day Morning)
Tour of “Sultan Ahmet Center", the heart of the "Old City" from where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled.
Hagia (St.) Sophia, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian.
Blue Mosque, facing Hagia Sophia, famous with its blue İznik tiles and unique with 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet.
Hippodrome, center of sportive events (chariot races, athletics) and political activities of the old city. Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius and German Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments decorating the Hippodrome.
Grand Covered Bazaar, most attractive shopping center and the biggest "souk" in the world with nearly 4000 shops selling antiques, jewelry, gold, carpets, leatherware and souvenir.
This tour terminates in from of St. Sophia Museum.

Ottoman Relics
Topkapı Palace, residence of Ottoman Sultans exhibiting imperial treasury, sacred Islamic relics, kitchen, Chinese porcelain, weapons, calligraphy section etc. (Harem section is not included in the program and due to extra entrance fee if requested.)
Sultan Tombs, there are five tombs of Ottoman Sultans within the graveyard at Hagia Sophia. The ceramic panels are the most beautiful examples of the 16th century with purple, red, green and blue flower motives. Prince robes and a small piece from the Kaaba covers are displayed on the sarcophaguses.

Bosphorus Cruise (Half Day Morning)
Golden Horn, the arm of the Bosphorus and a natural harbour of the historical peninsula separating the old and the new parts of İstanbul where the first colonies settled during the Byzantine. The residential area for Byzantine Jews, Italian traders and other non-Muslim minorities. Drive along the traces of history at Balat viewing Metal Church of St. Stephen the Bulgarian and 21 kms. long City Walls, the strongest fortification of the middle age. -from the bus- Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), mystical smells of different aromas of various spices.
Shops selling fruits, vegetables, fish, flowers etc.
Bosphorus Cruise, through the waterway separating the two continents, Europe and Asia, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residentials and luxurious apartments.
Rumeli Fortress, historical armament built by the Conqueror to control and protect Bosphorus. A unique example of military architecture. -from the boat- In the afternoon Spice Bazaar maybe substituted with Zindan Han, built during the Byzantine Empire and it was used as the first Women Prison in the world by the Ottomans. Restored back to the original style, today it is the Jewelry Center by Storks exhibiting the unique collections of famed products.

Dolmabahce Palace & Two Continents (Half Day Afternoon)
Dolmabahçe Palace, recent residence for Ottoman Sultans built by two Ottoman architects Karabet and Nikogos Balyan on a 110.000 m² area composed of three sections; Selamlık allocated for state issues, Harem (Seraglio) for private life of the sultan and his family, and the Parade Hall, study and bedroom of ATATÜRK, founder of the Turkish Republic is also here.
Famous with great collection of European antiquity, furniture and 4.5 tons of chandelier, the palace has 285 rooms and 46 halls.

Princes’ Islands (Full Day)
Meet with our guide at the hotel then drive to Kabatas port. We will embark a ferry to cruising on theSea of Marmara. Our destination is Buyukada, the largest of the island chain, but we will pass by four other islands on the way. All are famous for their mild climates, lush vegetation and ornate Ottoman houses, and on all of them cars are banned. The preferred means of transportation is the charming horse-drawn carriage known as the phaeton, which we will use on our circular tour of Buyukada, passing elegant mansions draped in brilliant purple bougainvillea. You will feel as though you have stepped back into a more leisured and gracious age, almost expecting grand 19th century ladies and gentlemen to come strolling down to the waterfront on an afternoon promenade. Lunch will be at one of the many excellent traditional fish-restaurants on the waterfront, gazing across the water at the Asian shore of Istanbul, so close though it feels worlds away. We will turn back by ferry to Kabatas port and drive back hotel.

Walking Food Tour (Full Day)
After the light breakfast at the hotel (suggested) and get settled for a real adventure in one of the most popular districts of Istanbul: Beyoglu..
We will meet our guide at your hotel lobby and drive/walk to Beyoğlu. Tour will be walking.
From past to the present, Beyoglu is the right address to explore street tastes which has been passed from Ottoman Ages to modern times.
**Tastes in order:
“Bogazkesen Simit Firini” (Bakery) sesame covered bread with Turkish Tea, “Fish Market” with fried mussels. Sweets at historical "Sakarya tatlicisi".
"Canim Cigercim" with fresh grilled liver & lamb and seasonal greens, Fresh Juice at “Galata Kuledibi”
Walk through Galata Bridge and taste rice in chicken & peanuts in one the street. “Haci Bekir” for sweets in Eminönü.
Turkish Coffee at Brew Coffee Works in “Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi” next to Spice Market.
After having our Turkish Coffee in Eminönü, we will drive back to your hotel.

Confirmation, Cancellations and Refunds:
• Payments can be conducted either by bank transfer or credit card.
• All cancellations must be made by sending an e-mail to ramses@serenas.com.tr
   o If received by September 04, 2023 the payment will be refunded in full.
   o If received between September 05, 2023 and October 02, 2023, 50% of the fee will be refunded.
   o If received later than September 06, 2023, there will be no refund.
As a matter of fact, while there would be full refund, there often are handling fee charged for processing the refund. Handling Fee: 50 € for per person (VAT is included) for each cancellation.
